UK-based MirriNor has created packaging boxes for English Sparkling Wine producer Gusbourne Estate's range of premium wines in their 200 hectare estate in Appledore, Kent, England.

MirriNor was contacted by Gusbourne Estate, who wanted to make use of the metallic collaboration between Smurfit Kappa sheetfeeding and Mirri.

MirriNor, a metallic laminated board film from Mirri, has Smurfit Kappa's patented T-Flute microflute corrugated board.

Gusbourne Estate owner Andrew Webber said they wanted a packaging material that was produced in the UK, so the MirriNor material was their choice because of its strength and weight.

"We were also able to create a completely bespoke box design using Mirri Rainbow film and a range of decorative finishes that created an appealing and elegant box," Webber said.

Printed under license using Color-Logic software by Oriel, a UV Litho printer based in Hull, the box's colors were chosen from many metallic colors shown in Process Metallic Color Charts.

The boxes were finished at Celloglas with Cellolam low-scuff matt lamination and Celloscreen Spot Gloss high Build UV Varnish, following its printing, and the cartons were embossed by a die created by Lasercomb, especially for micro flute materials.
