Canada-based Vantage Foods is all set to establish a new meat packaging facility in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, US. 

The facility, which is expected to start-up in fall 2013, will centrally process retail-ready fresh meats for the Giant Carlisle and Giant Landover divisions of Ahold USA.

Vantage US president and chief operating officer Leonal Kilgore said production and distribution of fresh beef and pork will be ensured at the facility.

"The Camp Hill Service Center will be state-of-the-art, incorporating the most advanced global food processing technology," Kilgore said.

According to the company, progressive retailers and their customers get various benefits from packaged fresh meat, which include quality, freshness and selection in the fresh meats processed.
